Cities are crucial economic development hubs facing many challenges nowadays due to constantly increasing urban population. Common sights in most of the large cities are rising greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, overcrowding, traffic congestion, lack of water and energy as well as other social challenges.

 

Smart city concept developed few years ago is an upward trend in the world to deal with the issues. Utilizing ICT infrastructures is an advanced solution and the answer for all these every day challenges in cities for both local governments and residents.
